The Korean Jindo Dog, native to Jindo Island in South Korea, is a highly loyal, clean, and intelligent breed known for its strong homing instinct, bravery, and deep bond with its owner. Traditionally used for guarding and hunting, the Jindo is reserved with strangers but deeply devoted to its family, often forming a tight attachment to a single person.
Their dense double coat is weather-resistant but sheds heavily during seasonal changes, especially in spring and fall. Regular brushing helps control shedding and maintain coat health. While highly intelligent, their independence and territorial nature make training a long-term commitment, best suited to experienced handlers who provide early socialization and gentle consistency.
