The Tibetan Terrier is an ancient breed once known as the “Holy Dog of Tibet,” originally kept by monks and used for herding, guarding, and companionship. Despite the name, they are not true terriers but rather a unique, versatile breed with a loving nature and a strong sense of loyalty.
Their luxurious, long coat is low-shedding, but it needs frequent brushing (several times per week) to avoid matting, especially around the ears, legs, and tail. Tibetan Terriers are cheerful, agile, and affectionate, making them great family companions and excellent in agility or therapy work with the right guidance.
